UPESSC UP Special TET 2026 – Recruitment Details

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), Prayagraj has released the notification for UPESSC UP Special TET 2026 under Advertisement No. 03/2026. The Special Teacher Eligibility Test is being conducted in accordance with the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court for eligible in-service Primary and Upper Primary Teachers and Special Educators (CWSN) working across Uttar Pradesh.

Eligibility & Qualification For Working Teachers: Candidates must possess the prescribed academic qualifications and have a valid eHRMS code. For Special Educators (CWSN): Candidates must have the required qualification in D.Ed./B.Ed. Special Education and valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). Approximately 2,500 Special Educators (CWSN) are expected to be covered under the examination process. Age Limit Minimum Age: 18 Years Maximum Age: 60 Years The upper age limit of 60 years is applicable as on 3 November 2026 for contractual/daily-wage Special Educators, as prescribed in the notification. The application fee is required to be paid through the online mode.

Examination Pattern & Selection Process

The selection/qualification process will be based on an OMR-based written examination followed by certificate/document verification.

· Visit the official portal of UPESSC at https://www.upessc.up.gov.in.

· Complete the mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR) if applying for the first time.

· Log in using your registered credentials and select Advertisement No. 03/2026 (Special TET 2026).

· Choose your relevant paper level (Primary Level, Upper Primary Level, or both).

· Fill in your personal details, teaching background, and enter your eHRMS code (for in-service teachers) or active CRR number with RCI registration details (for Special Educators).

· Upload clear scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph (30 KB to 300 KB in JPG) and signature (10 KB to 200 KB in JPG).

· Upload required educational, teacher training, and caste/EWS/disability certificates in PDF format (50 KB to 500 KB).

· Pay the prescribed application fee (Rs. 1,000/- for General/OBC/EWS, Rs. 500/- for SC/ST, or Rs. 300/- for Divyang) online using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.

· Review all entries carefully, submit the online application form before 04 October 2026, and print the final confirmation receipt for your records.
